Around us
Lazise
Among the destinations for a day trip is certainly the small historic centre of Lazise, a municipality located along the shore of Lake Garda 5.9 km from our campsite. In the historical centre, surrounded by the walls of the old Scaliger castle, you can stroll along the lakefront, look at the numerous fashionable clothes and things shops, visit buildings of great architectural and historical importance, and finally refresh yourself in some restaurant or treat yourself to a good ice-cream.
Peschiera del Garda
Peschiera is located 5.8 km from our agricamping; it is a perfect destination for a day trip. What to see in a day in Peschiera del Garda? In the small historic centre enclosed by Venetian fortifications and canals you will find a myriad of small shops and restaurants, as well as beautiful historic buildings, squares, churches and impressive military structures. Very characteristic are the small piers where boats stop.
Bardolino
The town of Bardolino is one of the best known and most visited towns on Lake Garda, both because of its scenic beauty and because it hosts many cultural events and initiatives every year. It is 11.2 km from our camping site. Here you can stroll through the centre of Bardolino and admire the typical fishermen's houses just a stone's throw from the lakeshore and you will find plenty of souvenir and clothes shops, interspersed with bars and restaurants set in romantic and picturesque corners.
Garda
Garda is one of the most popular town on the Riviera degli Ulivi. The town, which boasts one of the most beautiful and well-equipped lakeside promenades on the lake, lies in the middle of the gulf of the same name and is about 17.8 km from our agricamping. Here you can enjoy the wonderful walks along the lake, explore the hinterland by bicycle or enjoy the beautiful sunsets at a beach café while sipping an aperitif.
Sirmione
The town of Sirmione, which is about 15 km from our agricamping, lies on a long, thin peninsula that divides the gulfs of Desenzano and Peschiera. The entrance to the historic centre is ideally represented by the Rocca Scaligera: one of Italy's best-preserved castles, with a dock that is a rare example of a fortification intended for port use. Finally, from the thermal baths of Sirmione, known for the beneficial and curative properties of their warm thermal waters, you can enjoy spectacular views.
Verona
Approximately 31 km from our agricamping is one of the most visited cities of art in the Veneto region: Verona. The historic centre can be visited on a day trip, but only if you limit yourself to the most famous sights and if you have no particular interest in the numerous museums.
Although the city is rich in monuments, the image of Verona is inextricably linked to the famous tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. In fact, the main tourist attraction is Juliet's house, a medieval building now used as a museum. The city will surprise you at every turn, especially during the summer season, when the spectacular sets of the operas staged in the Arena, a Roman amphitheatre dating back to the 1st century AD, are displayed in the central Piazza Bra.
Verona is full of characteristic places and atmospheric alleyways and squares, and your experience will be complemented by the flavours of traditional, local cuisine if you decide to stop at one of the many historic venues.
